Roof hatch enlargement application granted in Kensington & Chelsea
Posted: July 31, 2020
Our client approached us following a failed planning appeal in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Boltons Conservation Area for a small roof extension to facilitate access to the existing roof terrace.
We analysed the appeal decision and concluded that the application would have to be fundamentally changed. In particular any roof extension should not be visible from the public domain.
Through careful preparation of planning drawings and planning statement a new scheme was prepared and submitted to the Council. The application was approved within 8 weeks.
