Objection won for residential development in Ealing

Development: Conversion of a dwellinghouse into seven self-contained residential units (4 x 1 bed; 2 x 2 bed; 1 x 3 bed); alterations to existing basement; raising of roof ridge height to rear in line with existing main roof; rear roof extension to main roofslope; rear roof extension to rear outrigger incorporating a two Juliet balconies; installation of one rooflight to the front roofslope; associated internal and external alterations; and provision of associated amenity space, cycle and refuse/recycling storage
MZA submitted representations to Ealing on behalf of our client, on the grounds of character and appearance, quality of accommodation and the impact on neighbouring living conditions.
We argued that the development would fail to deliver quality residential accommodation and would be wholly acceptable inappropriate, and the application was refused.
