Householder appeal for roof extension and balcony allowed in Hounslow

Development: Erection of a rear outrigger roof extension with juliet balcony
Our client approached us after being refused planning permission by Hounslow Council to further extend the roof of their property. After carefully review of our client’s case we concluded that planning permission had been unreasonably withheld by Hounslow and that an appeal should be lodged.
The appeal focused on the varied character of the area and existing roof extension that had been granted by the Council as well as the modest nature of the proposal which would not dominate the property as the Council alleged.
The appeal Inspector agreed with our arguments and allowed the appeal, leaving our client free to build their roof extension to their family home.
