Enforcement appeal quashed for Barnet HMO
Posted: January 18, 2021
Development: Without planning permission the change of use of the property to a large scale House in Multiple Occupation (Sui Generis)
Our client was issued a Planning Enforcement notice by Barnet Council alleging that the property had been converted into a HMO. When we were instructed by our client we inspected the property and it became clear that the property had not been converted into a HMO but instead into 11 self-contained flats. We gathered evidence to support the case including bank statement, tenancy agreements etc. The appeal was lodged on grounds B & D and succeeded on Ground B.
Our client is able to continue using the property as 11 self-contained flats.
