Our client, a charity, sold their substantial property in Ladbroke Grove as in planning terms it was restrictive and didn’t meet their needs. They found a premises in the Barnes area of Richmond that happened to be a building of Townscape Merit. They were looking for a property to act as their new headquarters where they would hold events such as concerts and educational classes. The building was previously used by the British Ballet Organisation. The property needed modification to meet our client’s needs. Numerous applications were submitted to Richmond Council. The approvals obtained included external changes and restoration of the coach house, lights in the rear garden, landscaping, details relating to a staircase, lift, front stairs. An application and appeal were prepared and submitted to use the area above the coach house as a self-contained flat. The works were all completed to the highest standard.
